27 Nov Journey from Bhoga to Bodha
Everything that we do without the Awareness or Bodha and the Grace of Gurus has the possibility of getting converted into Bhogas. In simple words, anything and everything which creates distance between you and the higher self or the soul can be termed as a Bhoga.
Bhogas are not only sufferings, but they also can be good things like – social work, ownership of properties or a high paying job, intelligence, a social life, having a deep-rooted idea or a concept. Because doing any activity without Bodha can become the reason for attachments.
Now, on this path of Shri Padmini Vidya, why is Bhoga being given such tremendous significance? It’s because, without realizing the existence of Bhogas in life, a seeker cannot advance towards Bodha. And without Bodha, inculcating the highest, most powerful Vidya itself could become difficult. Bodha is the Wisdom of the higher-self and the experience of ‘I am’. But this experience isn’t possible unless one knows how to separate Bhogas from their being, which further is not possible without Guru’s grace.
When the seeker’s belief deeply identifies with their body or their mind, s/he begins to desire fulfilment of certain requirements or essentials for the body to complete their need for material existence. This makes one struggle even more as the seeker loses track and begins the quest to achieve their incoming desire or need of the body. In order to gratify the material desire, the quest takes the seeker far away from the Bodha and what could have been an automatic or Sahaj process, ends up becoming a tussle leading to the intensifying of the force of Bhogas.
At Bodhmarga Foundation, the precious secret of the Guru lineage is, one begins to simply identify one’s Bhogas and their false sense of being, and understands that these are separate from the self. The seeker is able to cultivate a Bird’s eye view as they begin to clearly recognize before-hand which current material actions and reactions are holding back their spiritual growth. Simply knowing is enough. Simply being able to see from the point of view of an observer or the Bird’s eye is enough. In this manner, a Bodhi is capable of cutting down their Bhogas. Otherwise, Bhogas keep on multiplying and increasing to such an extent that eventually letting go of these attachments and false identities becomes excruciatingly difficult! Fortunately, at Bodhmarga Foundation, this process is very automatic and completely 100% hassle-free. Such is the divine power of the Gurutattva. Walking down this beautiful journey from Bhoga to Bodha is truly a graceful one.
